Burns has a television show debut in 1995 as she played Peg as a character on the Spanish American sitcom Out of the Blue. Burns was added to the crew of the action drama series Baywatch in 1998. She then was a part of Baywatch's sequel Baywatch: Hawaii up until the point that she left the show due to her first pregnancy.
